Carneddau PLQ16 Plaque
Following on from her Eriskay limited edition, the sound of drumming hooves returns to find the beating heart of Conwy, as Vicky captures the wild ponies and their foals in a hidden valley, after the heavy mist from the Irish sea has lifted from over the high peaks of the Carneddau mountains behind them. The Carneddau Pony is a distinct and hardy breed of wild mountain pony native to the Carneddau mountains in North Wales and can be watched from the RSPB Conwy Reserve itself through a good pair of binoculars. Nestled between crags, heath and standing stones, the Welsh ponies group on this Moorcroft plaque as the moors reach up to the natural lakes and high peaks, just as they have done since Druids sat on mounds of earth throughout the night, waiting for rebirth at sunrise.
