Resilience 158/4 Vase

There was a notable and striking exception to the bleakness of the decimated World War I landscape - the bright red Flanders poppies. These resilient flowers flourished in the middle of so much chaos and destruction, growing in the thousands upon thousands. Resilience holds a multitude of black poppy seeds which contrast against the cotton pink to scarlet ragged petals which float one upon another as they rest on a bed of lobed, apple-greed leaves. This is life perfected, one bloom supporting another as buds reach up to the rim of the vase with unperturbed resilience.
