Gates Of Summer 65/4 Vase
Named for its rigorous patrol of hedges and woodland rides, the gatekeeper butterfly is a prime pollinator. With thistles supplying nectar for butterflies, bees and other pollinators, producing more nectar per flower head than almost any other wildflower, this little slice of our wild meadows is worth celebrating underglaze. Delicately fluttering over the deep-lavender florets and the carefully tubelined balls of spiny bracts of the beloved Flower of Scotland, Emma’s gatekeepers fan their marmalade-tinted wings, with deep, brown borders tipped with their black-on-white eyes to open in the Gates of Summer.
