An Honour to Holst 42/12 Vase

Composer Gustav Holst (born 21st September 1874) devoted his life to teaching and musical composition. He created over 300 works but one of his most famous classical music compositions was The Planets suite, of which there are over 130 recordings. The Planets were written between 1914 and 1917, with each movement in the suite named after a different planet of the Solar System.

In Holst’s 150th anniversary year, designer Vicky Lovatt takes inspiration from his music once again to launch into the stratosphere a new limited-edition vase. Following on from her original sell-out limited edition Planets vase from 2011, she brings forth An Honour to Holst, as a tribute to the creative genius who brought the planetary system to life, for everyone to enjoy over a century ago, through his music.
