Emma has championed fairies in Moorcroft before, including the famous Cottingley Fairies, and for her snowdrop fairies, her inspiration are young, fragile maidens with hair as brown as root, as gold as a snowdrop’s ovary and as amber as the shafts of light that peep through a cluster of snowdrops, laughing the world awake.
