King's Wood 98/2 Vase
Kings Wood was one of many woodlands in Trentham that the William Moorcroft would have known over 125 years ago. Kings Wood was named after Henry II who created a royal deer park here and was previously called Trentham Coppy or coppice as the trees were regularly cut down to provide a supply of timber. Rachel pays homage to the early tree designs of William Moorcroft with her woodland infused with warmth from both the distant fields and the last rays of sunshine permeating through the trees.
